Family baby shower

Last Sunday, my sister, Cara, and my mom hosted a baby shower for the boys. It was so much fun to see all the family and friends who came. We are so blessed by all the wonderful things we got for the boys. Mom, Cara, and my Aunt Helen did an amazing job planning and decorating for the shower.

Mom did such an excellent job preparing my favorite Mexican appetizers. We even got to eat them on her fine china! Cara had such a great idea of getting fancy little cakes in different flavors for the shower. What a neat idea! All the ladies enjoyed picking out their favorite flavor.

We played a few of the standard shower games and had so much fun. We played the "guess the baby food game" and "guess how many squares of toilet paper it takes to get around the preggo's waist game". Below are a few pictures from the games. It was so funny to watch people eat the baby food.

My grandmother won the game with the exact guess of 11 squares. Way to go, Mamaw!


After the games, it was time to open up gifts. The boys received so many thoughtful things!

My mother-in-law found these cute pee-pee tee-pees with little airplanes on them. How cute! They will definitely come in handy!
Carol Brothwell, one of the ladies from my Bible study, made these pictures of the boys' names and had a Bible verse for each of the letters in the name. These are so special and have become our favorite things to put in the boys' room. What a special and meaningful gift! I love reading the verses and Carol did an awesome job finding great verses for each letter. They are definitely treasured!! Thank you so much, Carol!

A diaper genie-yaaay! No stinky diapers smelling up the babies' room!
