Mom's visit in January

Eric's mom came to visit in January. We had a great time hanging out and she got a good dose of her grandbabies. We did so much while she was here: shopping, babies, shopping, more babies! Eric and I even snuck away and had a date. Funny how dates now are so special and more cherished. While she was here, we took the twins to the park and they had so much fun. Come back, Mom!!!!

Brandt's big day

Brandt had a very big day last Wednesday. I put the boys down for a nap and went downstairs. I kept hearing this noise coming from upstairs and thought it might be the cats. I found both cats sleeping so I went to check on the boys and found Brandt STANDING in his crib!! I have never seen him so excited and proud of himself before. It was pretty amazing. However, the noise I'd been hearing was him chewing on his crib. By the time I found him, he'd chewed off two big chunks off his crib (oh, his beautiful crib!!). I came up with a temporary fix by tying an beach towel around the crib where he chewed, but I've got to come up with a more permanent fix.

Update to the blog giveaway

There's an update! I won!!! I never win stuff (but, I also never try, either). Icalculated it out (sorry, inner accountant) and I had a 2% chance. So cool!!

I've got to choose which blanket I want now. I get $100 to spend at www.fillintheblankie.com. I also need to figure out what I'm going to put on it. I think I'm going to get Johan's winter nap in blue (or maybe Molly's very own herringbone). I get up to 200 characters to have embroidered on it, too! I think I'm going to get the boys' names, their birthdate, and a Bible verse.

If anyone has a recommendation for a good Bible verse, let me know. I've been searching and found this one:

"Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord." Colossians 3:20. Just kidding!!

I am liking Psalm 127:3, though:
"Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him."

I'm so excited I won. I think these are so cool!

This and that

Here is a hodge podge of videos that have been taken over the past few weeks. None are too exciting, but perfect for grandparents and great grandparents!!

Brandt has begun to play catch with himself. He'll play with something, throw it, and then scoot and go get it. In this video, you can see him do it a few times.

Brandt had been talking alot during dinner one night. When I grabbed the camera, though, he stopped. The boys are both being cute, though.

I got a little of Carter doing his high pitched noises in this video.

The other night, Carter was telling us a very sad story. Here it is...

Pics from this week

Mom and Dad came over this week to hang out with the boys for awhile. The twins had fun sporting Papa's hat.

I think this picture was taken the same day we went to the park. The boys were being really cute and climbing over each other.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Eric got home from work/school early yesterday, so we decided to start celebrating Valentine's Day early and took the boys to the park for some family fun. We plopped the boys in the grass first. The park hasn't planted winter grass for some reason (yes, here in AZ, grass is planted in the summer and winter), so the stuff that was there was really hard and prickly. Needless to say, the boys weren't the biggest fan of it. Then the boys got a turn on the baby swings. They love them! One of the other moms at the park asked Eric where he worked (he was in his scrubs) and he explained he was 4th year medical student. She is a GI fellow at Mayo and her husband is an anesthesiologist here in town. How cool to meet fellow medical people at the park! She was really fun to talk to and apparently is at the park often. We hope to see her and little girl soon. Oh, I'm going to miss living here! :'(

Swinging is so much fun!

Then we came home and made a homemade, Valentine's pizza. and...I received these BEAUTIFUL flowers from my Valentine!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
